He graduated from the Interior Design Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2006. During his education and afterwards, he worked at various architectural firms and focused on furniture design. His “Over” seating system design was featured in Derin’s 2006 collection. “Over” was exhibited at the Milan Design Week and the New York ICFF. In the same year, the designer was recognized by Wallpaper magazine as one of the promising 10 designers from Turkey.
His clock design, “Frame,” produced by Meyer, was displayed at the MUDAC Design and Contemporary Art Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. The “Telling Time” exhibition featured 150 pieces from the last 500 years collected from various museums and private collections across Europe. In 2019, he received the “German Design Awards” for the same design.
In 2023, he was named the designer of the year by Elle Decoration Turkey.
From 2014 to 2018, he worked as a part-time lecturer at Kadir Has University’s Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and he continues his teaching career at Bahçeşehir University.
Emre Evrenos
After completing his B.A. studies at Hacettepe University in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Design in 1999, he went to Milan to Milano Scuola politecnica di Design to get his master’s degree. During his master’s education, he had the opportunity to take part in Monica Armani stand at Salone del Mobile. In the same period, he worked at a hotel project in Venice with Arch.Marco Piva Studio. After returning home, he took part in several projects with a number of interior design firms, but eventually he went back to his real passion, furniture design. Since 2005, with the exception of a year and a half in Moscow where he was the project manager of a large scale project, he has been involved in professional furniture design.
On April 2013 he decided to start his own design brand “Daedalus” with his business partner Nazar Şigaher. Besides contemporary furniture design and manifacturing ,they are busy with interior projects and design consultancy. While taking care of Daedalus, he also keeps on working on his solo career on furniture and interiors.
On September 2014 he accepted the invitation of Interior Architecture and Enviromental Design Department of Kadir Has University as a part time lecturer.In semester of 2017 fall , he is transfered to Bahçeşehir University ,Department of Architecture and Design . Since that date , he continues working as a parttime lecturer.
